Guest Post ~ 24 November 2014 : Sabrina Devonshire

Today I would love to welcome a very talented author here to talk about her life and her writing. So please say hi to a good friend, Sabrina Devonshire. Come in Sabrina, let me get you something to drink. I have questions for you in a minute.

So. Tell me a little about yourself.

I’m a mother, wife and dog owner. I’m also an outdoor adventurer. I love swimming, scuba diving, hiking, cycling and travel.

And what inspires you to write?

In addition to the hot images of lead characters I keep on top of my desk, exercise keeps my inspiration levels high. I love swimming because I feel so free and serene in the water. Swimming also enhances my mood and ability to concentrate, breeds creativity, improves my health, and keeps me in top physical condition.

Traveling to new places also fuels my creativity. Places out in the middle of nowhere really appeal to me—an isolated beach surrounded by mountains in Costa Rica, a dirt trail en route to Machu Picchu, a meadow bursting with flowers in the Swiss Alps.

Outdoor adventure is a big passion for me so on any given trip, you may find me climbing pyramids, cycling through the Alps, hiking through jungles, swinging on vines, zip-lining, scuba diving, and/or ocean swimming...and then later writing about these experiences (embellished of course) through different characters.
What are your plans for the future?

My focus is on today instead of tomorrow. Life looks wonderful right now and time passes too quickly. I want to embrace every amazing minute!
