Guest Interview with Lisa Worrall Author and Laura Harner

24 March 2012

Come in. Come in. Well hey there, well aren’t I the lucky interviewer today. A double whammy! Come in both of you and find somewhere to sit. Hey, just had a thought – If I put the microphone on a stand between you I can give you centre stage to introduce yourselves and talk as you want. It saves me butting in. I will keep quiet until you need me. However, before I do I will make sure you have a drink to wet your whistles. J
Lisa: Oooh… Peach Schnapps, with lemonade and cranberry juice for me please.  How about you Laura?
Laura: I’m okay thanks.
*Passes Lisa a drink, and places the microphone on a stand.*

Lisa: I’m Lisa Worrall and I live in a little seaside town called Leigh on Sea, in Essex, in the UK.  It is about forty miles outside London.  I am a single mother with two children who fill me with joy and drive me nuts in equal measures, and we have a four-month-old puppy who thinks she rules the roost J

Laura: And I am the other half of the writing duo …I’m Laura Harner, aka LE Harner, depending on the genre in which I’m writing. I live in Arizona, but have lived all over the US and in Japan. The most interesting place I’ve ever lived was in Grand Canyon National Park. The craziest place was probably New Orleans. Or, maybe Yokohama.
I must say you do very well being as you are oceans apart. Sorry, carry on please.
Lisa: I have been in love with writing and creating stories since I was a kid. A couple of years ago a friend introduced me to Fanfiction, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Eventually I plucked up the courage to submit to a publisher, and the rest is history.
Laura: *Laughs* I had no choice.  Three years ago, I woke from a sound sleep with the idea for a book pounding away in my brain. It wouldn’t go away. So, I ignored a houseful of company and started to write. Three years on, here I am. *Smiles at Lisa.* we enjoy our writing don’t we?
Lisa laughs. Yes, we’re a good combination. Our most recent release is Continental Divide, which Laura and I wrote together.  She came to me and said, “Wanna write a book together?”  That  has now turned into a four book series! The woman is voracious!  I can show you the blurb.
Cool.
Detective Remington frickin’ hates the missing persons detail, but a cold fury builds in the pit of his stomach when he realizes that over the past three months six boys have disappeared from the smaller communities that surround the greater Phoenix area. All reported to be runaways looking to escape their shitty lives, but Remy’s starting to put together a different picture and he doesn’t like it one damn bit.

Inspector Jamie Mainwaring stares at the six reports, willing them to make sense. Six boys, six months, all from just outside of London, which meant six different investigations. All of the boys were between the ages of ten and fifteen, all purportedly runaways from dysfunctional families. Something was rotten in Denmark.
*****
Exciting!
Laura: We’re both lucky in getting plenty of support from family friends, both at home and online. And I’ve just started to write full time.
Lisa: I think reading and writing occupies a lot of my time too. I’m influenced by nearly every one I read, but I have a few favourite authors in Sue Brown, Patricia Logan and of course Laura Harner.
Laura: Ah, thanks hon J
Lisa: I get a lot of ideas from music.  Or, don’t laugh, sometimes I dream them, you know, just the spark of an idea and it turns into something more.  Even just walking down the street you can see a couple together, or even a guy on his own and you wonder where they’ve just been, or where they’re going, or who they’re going to meet and it comes to you that way.
Laura: Usually I’m not running fast enough to escape them. Sometimes they come, as Highland Shift, and the Highland Destiny Series, as if they were percolating in my subconscious for a long time before shooting to the surface. Other times a picture might inspire me, as was the case with Ty Hard. I’d seen a picture of the mostly naked cowboy and I was driving my son to school when the idea hit. I made him write several key phrases for me on the back of a grocery receipt because that was all I had at that moment.
Lisa: Hahaha, you didn’t tell me about the grocery receipt!
Lisa: I love writing M/M, in fact my favourite character from one of my books is Carter from Thirst.  Because he just doesn’t offer any apologies for what he is, a vampire, or try and excuse the fact that he kills people.  As far as he is concerned, he’s just going out for a burger, because that’s how he sees people. I’d love to be brave enough to say, look this is who I am, this is what you get, if you don’t like it, there’s the door J I have a computer station in my living-room and that’s where I spend a lot of my time.  I try to write during the day as a rule, so I can spend time with the kids before they go to bed, and then I get back to it.
However someday I may have a shot at heterosexual.
Laura: Really?
 Lisa: You never know!
Laura: I write in several genres. MM and Ménage are published as LE Harner and my MF, mysteries and pranormals are published as Laura Harner. I sit in the family room at a large kitchen table. The whole space is now my office. I also sit on the back patio with my laptop or write on my iPad at Diamondbacks games or at my son’s baseball games. I don’t stop.

My favourite character without a doubt is Remy from Continental Divide. The latest book written with my trophy wife Lisa Worrall. He has a tortured soul, an unhappy past, and an inability to see his own worth.
Lisa: I have several WIP’s at the moment, including wanting to get Book 2  of Laura’s and my book Oceans Apart. However, I’ve brought along an excerpt of Summer Heat for you to read. That’s ok isn’t it Laura.
Laura: Sure.
Summer Heat Excerpt:
Frowning, Matt crossed to his bedroom window and pulled back the curtain. He couldn’t see anything past the rain as the wind threw it against the glass. Damn it. Matt squinted into the darkness but couldn’t see any vehicles at the front of the house. The knocking must have been his imagination. The house was miles from anywhere and only accessible by car. The nearest neighbors were the Hendersons and they were eleven miles away on foot.  He was obviously still half asleep, the storm having awoken him. How could there possibly be anyone out there?
The knocking was louder this time, as if whoever held the brass ring firmly ensconced in the in the mouth of the lion’s head door knocker, was getting angrier with each bang. “What the fuck?” he mumbled, grabbing his cell, what for he wasn’t entirely sure, and heading down the stairs. The only sound the slapping of his bare feet on the quarry tiled floor of the hall as he cautiously approached the door. Rising onto the balls of his feet, Matt peered through the small stain glass window inset into the wood. He cursed softly; all he could see was driving rain and darkness.  There’s nobody there, idiot. Matt ignored the derisive sneer of his inner voice and narrowed his eyes as he looked out into the night. Yeah, real genius. Cut down your field of vision.  That’ll help you see the monsters better. Matt shook his head at his wandering imagination and turned away from the door. There was nobody there. It had probably been the wind lifting the knocker and slamming it back down.
“Jesus!”
The heavy slam of the knocker tightened his bowels and had his balls trying to creep back up inside his body, his heart pounding in his chest, blood rushing in his ears. Pressing his hand against the sleek wood, he swallowed hard. “Who’s there?” He cursed inwardly, wishing his voice sounded a little more quarterback and a little less band camp. “Who’s out there? I’ve got an…” he gazed around and grabbed the first thing to hand, “umbrella?”
“An umbrella would be good,” a deep voice shouted through the letterbox. “But inside would be better!” Matt worried at his lower lip and the owner of the voice obviously took the lack of response to mean more information was required, because he added, “My car broke down a couple of miles back and my cell died. Do you have a phone?”
Another flash of lightning lit the sky and Matt gasped as a man’s face pressed to the stain glass window in the door. All he caught was a glimpse of dark eyes and rain dripping off a straight nose. The thunder rumbled immediately and Matt sighed heavily, his hand reaching out and sliding back the deadbolt on the door. What the fuck are you doing? His inner voice screamed in his ear. He could be the poster boy for Axe Murderers ‘R Us, you moron. You can’t let him in. You want your mother to smell your rotting corpse all the way from France? Matt rolled his eyes and lifted the latch, but left the chain on as he opened the door.
Mmmmm sounds really good.
Before you head off, can you let me have some links please, buy, blogs and websites. To get traffic to you J
Lisa: You can find me at:-

Thanks so much. You guys are fun to have around, I do hope you’ll drop by again.

Guest Interview with Ray Sostre

Today I have the very sexy Ray Sostre knocking at my door

Come in Ray, don't be shy!

Hey there Ray, come in, grab a drink. No, not that one. It’s mine lol. Okay we would like to know some about you. Give! Tell you what – here’s the microphone, I’ll cut in when you need to draw breath!

Hey, Hiyadoin’? I’m Ray Sostre, 35, (good looking. Sorry couldn’t resist) from a town located by the Utah border in Nevada called West Wendover. I’m a second generation Puerto Rican in the states and I write erotic romance, mainly contemporary. I’m an electronica junkie and I’ve been listening to it before mid-America called it way cool! I’m a city boy by heart, but I live out in the middle of the desert, keeping busy with my online story submission site AfterDark Online and my ebook
Getting into writing happened by accident. It was 22 years ago, in September 1990, I was serving detention after school and I wanted to get through my hour detention, so I started writing. I later started writing screenplays and enjoyed reading them. Til this day, I still have a fascination for screenplays, but I lost interest in the late 90s and didn’t get back to it until the summer of 2010; this time I found a new muse... erotica.
You’ll have to look out those screenplays and see if you can make anything of them.

I’m also in a great relationship with a woman who’s been the backbone of my success, my dear woman name Mary. I could do it by myself, but I couldn’t have done it without her help. In addition, my father gave me the support, he reminds me about hang in there and don’t give up. When I got back into writing, I was rusty as hell and I needed to get back into the game by re-learning the techniques.
My father told me it takes time, but stay determined.

He was a wise man. Reminiscent of Winston Churchill. Sorry, the floor is yours. As they say, do carry on. This is fascinating

My woman told me to do not expect to be a hit overnight. I guess that’s why I have to keep a real job, lol
While I like to write mostly erotic contemporary, I enjoy writing erotic comedy along with the contemporary. I can’t understand a story without the use of comedy. I’m not saying I haven’t read any books that didn’t have erotic comedy, but come on, what woman would like to read a funny snippet about a man with small hands, small feet? You know, The Lil’ Man Syndrome? I like to write gotcha moments and unexpected surprises.
Although, I’m also learning new genres like LGBT stories, I’m interested in writing f/f and f/f/m stories, may one day write a story about a transgendered romance, because that doesn’t always gets touched and I don’t want to just stick to m/f all the time. I also have an interest in writing BDSM scenes, threesomes, and group sex scenes. I placing what I want to write in plain English, but I write erotic don’t I? :-P
Touché.

How do you get your ideas?

Well my ideas are mostly off an erotic picture I see and I add more into the story. The rest come from my head. I like coming out with things that was never thought of, but what I want in all my stories is comedy, even if the comedy is light. Another thing I try to add in my story is unexpected suspense, meaning when someone reads a predictable story I throw game-changer in the story, a new character or an unexpected event for the character that anticipated something.

Do you have any favourite books?
I have several... in fact; I have a dozens of my favourites. However, lately, ones in particular are books by Kellie Kamryn, Dawne Prochilo, and Jodi Olson. Might I add I have been reading books by Kharisma Rhayne, she is good!
You can add as many as you like honey. I love these writers too.

Is there any particular author who has influenced you the most?
Yeah, Dawne Prochilo and Jodi Olson. The reason why they have influenced me is that their style is easy to identify the most. Dawne has a way of making the scenes so vivid. I was influenced to keep my scenes as vivid as possible. The way she ends, her stories are always sentimental. Jodi’s style is as much vivid, but she has a way of putting the details of the characters on one chapter, and keeps you anticipated until you read the end of her stories. Both define their comedy and twists in different ways, but I can truly identify with their style. So they influenced me.

You can’t go far wrong following their teachings.

Is there a specific genre you would like to write but not done yet?
BDSM has been an interest, not to be my genre, but to try out. I am not big on some of the things that are written in that genre, but I admire the way the authors put. They put their heart into it. I would do it to see how versatile I can be.
I never written a transgendered romance, but maybe I will. I mean they are human; they have feelings and so far, I know of only one author that targets that genre. I wouldn’t mind touching that topic too.
I would also like to write several f/f stories and f/m/f romance stories. I’m currently working on that, but this is all new stuff and I am willing to learn and try out other topics.
When did you consider yourself ‘a writer’?
Great question! When I let it go of writing in 1997, I picked up my headphones and a vinyl record and called myself a club DJ. However, my life was in hiatus from 2004 to 2010. I didn’t call myself a writer until I published my first official eBook in 2011 Their First Night Together. I guess that’s when I knew I was a writer. But  you’re a writer when you decide you were going to get back into it and pay your dues, by writing your first story. Whether it gets published on a submission site or as an eBook, you made the effort of being a writer.

Do you have a favourite character from one of your books? If so, why?

Tyler Jones and Darla Wright have been my focus. Although, it’s been some months since I finished this unpublished story, I want it to be the signature of who I am and what I really write.
Tyler is the reserved kind of guy, but sociable among his peers. Darla is the outgoing woman, who keeps Tyler’s life interesting as well as hers’. I wrote an e-novel About The Night Ride Home and once I have this officially completed, I’m planning on making a series out the two, because I fell in love with these characters as well as the secondary and third characters. I want to bring life to them; they deserve a few more series.

Have you a recent release, or one due out?

Well, I just got accepted to Romance Divine for my upcoming eBook The Girl Upstairs. I have no due date available, but I’m glad on my success. I honestly didn’t think I get there, but I did.

II have three books out, but my most recent is Suburban Secrets, Part One: The Favor.
I’m writing a series to the story about a suburban couple, John and Felicia Taylor, looking to expand their relationship by having a threesome with a guy named Kyle Furgueson, but Felicia Taylor had different intentions and that was to have an affair Kyle.

I have a personal Twitter page @anarchy0029
Also I keep a business page, I’m mostly on there until further notice @afterdarkonline
Come check out my fan page on Facebook: Author Ray Sostre http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Author-Ray-Sostre/264670686930310

and when you have a chance to read some good submitted stories, check out AfterDark Onine. http://www.afterdark-online.com

What was your big break?
At this time, September 2011. I found out the place I worked for was being sold to someone else and it was closing down, and I just recently published my first eBook Their First Night Together.
It was rough around edges on how I wrote it, but it created a lot of attention and one in particular by the name of Jodi Olson discovered me. She gave me pointers and patient with me on getting my writing style right. Had it not been from her, I wouldn’t have been accepted with a publisher.

Where do you do most of your writing and how do you stay focussed?

Much of last year, I used to write in my job and home. But nowadays, I write at home. These days, I dream of being on my computer. It’s the arena I truly know, lol.
I’m an entrepreneur. Even though I work for someone else, I will break for nothing to be a businessman. I was always an entrepreneur as a kid and I am today. I made mistakes in the past and how else would I learn from it. Writing is my love, but otherwise I would put myself into business.
Aside of writing. I do web design on my spare time. I enjoy playing poker, online poker to best describe. I live in Nevada where there’s a bunch of wannabees acting like they’re hardcore. Besides, I play poker for fun, never for money.

Good on you hon, I can see you have your head screwed on.

Hand me a Kamikazee and we’re good!

Your wish is my command

What five words describe you?

Loner, Interesting, Talkative, Modest, and Relaxed.

The jury is still out on some of those lol!

Currently, I’m writing two stories Suburbian Secrets, Part Two: Secret Rendezvous This story will explain about Felicia’s intentions of an open relationship. She gains the trust and confidence of three individuals separately; Kyle, her husband John, and her co-worker Sathya. It’s a work-in-progress right now.
I’m also working on an older woman/younger man romance Finding Possibilities. This story is about a woman who just turned forty and meets a charming man that is ten years younger than her. She never thought that being in a relationship with a younger man would be so much fun, but her older sister doesn’t approve of her relationship with Darius, and tries to ruin it for Faith, to hook her up with another man.
Go on, a sneak peek please, seeing as it’s me

Here is an excerpt of The Girl Upstairs for you

“My brother can be such a jerk sometime. He’s my big brother, but he plays big brother waytoo much whenever’s he wearing his badge.”
“Well, he just being protective of you.”
“Overly-protective. Sometimes he meddles in my life too much. I wish he would understand that I’m a big girl.”
“You’ll always be his baby sister.”
“I know. You know, Carlito...” She rolled her eyes quickly. “I’m—”
“It’s alright.”
“I can’t help it. I really love your name.” She looked up, “I really had a great time with you.”
“So did I... Annabella”
He gave a smile, feeling a sudden air of seduction before closing his eyes, letting his mouth find hers.
Bella spoke against his lips, “The way you sound out my name; I don’t mind.”
“I love your name.” He sucked on her bottom lip with tenderness.
He let his hands run over her body, while slipping his tongue inside her mouth. He felt her exhale hard against him, as he felt her hand on his neck, pulling him closer.
His excitement was bursting through his jeans. He pinned her against the door and ran his fingers under her dress. In return, he felt her fingers digging inside his jeans, past his boxer while grabbing on his ass. He felt her grip, she was hungry for him and she pushed him further to her body.
“Is he gone, really gone?”
“Uh-huh! He’s been long gone.” Suddenly she purred seductively, “Take off your pants I want you, Carlos.”
The way she expressed her desire for him made him anxious to be inside her. He stepped back and unbuttoned his jeans, while watching her raise her dress and slipping off her panties.
Once his pants dropped, he moved closer and kissed her hungrily. He felt her hand on his cock, his tip being caressed in her possession. The feeling of her touch was hypnotizing; he gazed into her inviting eyes one last time before taking her in another kiss.

That’s great! Thanks, I wish you great success

Guest Interview with Don Abdul

3 March
Today is the turn of Don Abdul
a mentor of mine from the past and an interesting man

First off, may I would like to thank you very much for agreeing to an interview on my blog.
Pull up a comfortable seat. Can I fix you a drink?

Well Naomi, thanks for having me. I’ll take a glass of milk if that’s ok with you. LOL

Okay, the stage is st. Please take the microphone and tell us a little about yourself.
I am Don Abdul, an easy going 40 year old man of many interesting parts.  I was born and raised in a small town in Nigeria, where the townsfolk would probably want to lynch me for writing such daring erotic fiction as I now do (Laughs). I enjoy being a single dad to two young boys.

You must be very proud. Lets move on.

What prompted you to be a writer?

I actually started writing back in junior high school. Back then I wrote mostly poetry about the wonders of nature all around me from the perspective of a small town lad. Then in senior high school the subject changed to the joys and heartaches of boy-girl relationships
I simply had a basic instinct to write, and I had a feeling that my life wasn’t complete without it. Writing helped me make sense of the world around me.

Do you get any support?

In my teenage years, my mom would buy me dozens of novels, and I enjoyed reading so much. My dad would have me write essays even though I’d much rather write poetry.
I went underground and started writing erotic fiction in 2005. That part of things has remained in the shadows as far as family is concerned. LOL (smut is a sin they would say).
The support of friends both in RL and online had been tremendous however, and I remain grateful for that.

What genre do you write?

My specific genre is Erotic Fiction, even though I hope to diversify in due course. My choice of erotic fiction was informed by the fact it affords me the freedom to push the envelope, break taboos, and explore issues of sex and sexuality in ways my readers can relate to.

It mist be difficult to come up with different ideas.

Well there are the nine muses that speak to me when nobody else is listening. LOL
Seriously though, I have been known to draw inspiration from just about everything really. Having an interesting chat with friends’ online and watching movies. Others include listening to music, watching animals getting it on, and from erotic pictures.  I also find the complex relationships of real life people around me inspirational as well.

Do you have any favourite books?

Oh yes I do but they are too numerous to mention in the course of a single interview.

And which authors who have influenced you the most?

I wouldn’t say there’s just one; there are many of them over the years including Tom Clancy, James Patterson and Robert Ludlum... Oops, John Grisham too... I told you too numerous to mention.

Is there a specific genre you would like to write but not done yet?

Science fiction and crime drama.

Hmm , interesting. I hope you achieve this ambition.

When did you consider yourself ‘a writer’?

Since writing my first (extracurricular) story in 2005.

Do you have a favourite character from one of your books? If so, why?

My favourite Character is Jake Donovan a wounded war hero from my book A Hero’s Due. His character was inspired by a need to show that life isn’t perfect, and beauty isn’t all about superficial qualities alone.
Jake was a disabled war veteran who had made a great sacrifice for his country and although he had returned home a broken man, it made him no less of a beautiful character than others who might have returned with a chest full of shiny medals.

Have you a recent release, or one due out?

I have new e-book released on 15th January 2012 on Smashwords.com is titled A Reluctant Slave. It is a BDSM themed erotic fiction story that is packed with erotic action and suspense. The book is reasonably priced at $2.99 and it will soon be available on a number of other popular outlets including Barnes & Noble and Amazon to name a few.

I see it. I hear you do your own cover art. Nice.

What was your big break?

My big break was the publishing of my first e-book Taboo Sex Run Wild in 2010, five years after I started writing erotic fiction. It was a turning point for me as a writer.

Where do you do most of your writing and do you have difficulty staying focussed?

I do most of writing in my living room, on my laptop, with soft music or muted TV in the background. Usually in my underwear *Winks*
I only write when I’m in the mood and so staying focussed isn’t a problem when I’m in the mood. I am driven.

If you weren’t a writer, what would you like to do?

I’m doing it already. So I guess I am lucky to be doing two things that I truly enjoy.

Do you have any hobbies?

Do you even need to ask? LOL

Seriously, yes I do. They are writing, reading and making new friends. Everything else fits in nicely in between. LOL

I can see you are aiming to be a full time writer. You have a passion for it.

*****
Another drink?
Now you see why I asked for milk. LOL
What five words describe you and why?
Fun, cheerful, complicated, simple, driven
Why? I’m a Gemini, go figure. LOL
What are you writing at present?
I am presently working hard on promoting my new book, A Reluctant Slave
Are we allowed to see an excerpt?
Sure, here you go:
Excerpt from
A Reluctant Slave
By
Don Abdul (c) 2012
It had been three months since she had been at her job, and despite having no-one special in her life at the moment, Nimah had stayed true to her principle of not sleeping with her work colleagues so far. In the case of her handsome EA however, that resolve was tested every now and then. At those times she would mentally chant the mantra 'don't shit where you eat' over and over again until the worst had passed.
One lovely Friday morning, Nimah had the office to herself, the temp secretary she had been assigned from the pool was sitting in her outer office since Jack was away on an errand and wouldn't be back until the following day. As she settled down to her first coffee of the day and looked forward to another routine day at work, there was a soft knock on her office door. It was the secretary bringing in her mail; after she departed, Nimah looked through the pile of envelopes separating the usual junk mail and bills. And then she saw it.
It was a neat small white envelope with her name neatly typed in Edwardian script. She thought it was rather strange and her curiosity was instantly piqued; 'Who could it be from and what was it all about?' she wondered as she slit the envelope open with the beautiful sterling silver  letter opener her father had given her last Christmas.
She unfolded the thick clean paper to read the message typed in the same font as the address on the envelope. "I have been watching you, day and night. I know you even better than you know yourself. By the time I'm done with you, you will belong to me."
Nimah paused, and looked around cocking her ear as if expecting to hear something that would explain what she had just read. She instinctively began to push back her chair to get to her feet, ready to charge and hold someone responsible for this affront on her personal security.
The words that struck fear into her heart were: "…I have been watching you day and night." With that fear however came a different kind of excitement, one she hadn't felt in a long time. She sat back down and continued reading the letter.
Her heart was racing and her pussy was getting moist as she read on:
"Within the hour you shall receive further instructions, tasks shall be assigned to you and if those tasks are not completed, and on time too, there will be consequences.
"We both know that you will do as you're told. You like this, you need this, and I bet your panties are getting wet by now too. Just remember, if you do not comply, there will be consequences."
Nimah was furious as she no longer found any of the unfolding drama funny. She reached for her phone to call security, but then she stopped. 'And what or whom shall I be reporting exactly,' she wondered. She realized she had nothing to go on, and in a highly competitive corporate environment like the one in which she worked, she daren't run the risk of being called crazy. She decided to lay an elaborate trap for whoever was behind the letter and when she had uncovered their identity, she would report them to the police.
As she settled down however she discovered that while she was angry at the perpetrator of the obnoxious intrusion into her life, her body had betrayed her. She felt a shiver run down her spine as she replayed the words in her head. Her nipples stiffened and her skin was covered in goose bumps. Her pussy was tingling and her panties soaked at that moment. Whoever it was that wrote that note knew her quite well; the big question was who wrote it. She wondered.
Nimah was embarrassed, even a little scared that this mystery person knew her well kept secret. It was a combination of emotions that thrilled her in ways she hadn't felt for quite a while. 'Whoever the mystery person is, I've got to find them and make an example of them to deter any others from putting their nose in my business,' she resolved, as she awaited their next message.
After a futile attempt to concentrate on her work and put the mystery note behind her, Nimah finally gave up and set about an attempt to unravel the identity of her mystery note writer. She figured that the person who sent her the note probably worked in the same firm as she did since the envelope had no post mark on it, meaning it was an internal mail. That narrowed it down to at least 20 odd men. That was a great start as she could narrow the number down even further. Of those forty men, there were only about five who could remotely be considered familiar enough with her to even dream of attempting anything as brazen as that.
The first one of course would be 34 year-old Jordan Chestnut, a cocky black attorney from Legal Department. He was definitely a dream catch for any woman, and as a brotha, Nimah sometimes thought of him as a potential husband but only if that was what she was looking for. Counting against him of course was the fact that he was the resident player. He had bedded every available woman who would fall for his charms and smooth manner. Whereas Nimah didn't care for his brand of charm, she had to admit that he was quite attractive, and the rumored size of his package made her sometimes think of fucking him just for fun. She, however, dropped Jordan as a likely author of the note. It just wasn't his style.
'Could it be Harry Prescott?' she wondered. He was a ruggedly handsome 50 year-old married British expatriate that she sometimes fantasized about. She loved his broad grin and the easy mature air about him. He was a classic gentleman, very polite, yet discretely flirtatious. If she was going to sleep with a mature man he certainly would be a candidate. Prescott seemed to be quite happily married however, and that ruled him out also as a likely candidate.
Seth Bullworth, a 29 year old avid golfer was more interested in power lunches and activation of the old boy Ivy League networks to close deals than he was in the intricacies of a power exchange relationship. So he too was ruled out.
Dick Xavier was a 40 year old power bike buff, and by far the most likely candidate,
but she ruled him out as well because he was currently away on an official trip abroad.
The final name on her mental list was Jack Bradshaw, her own executive assistant. 'Mmmm...' she thought wishing it was he who had sent her the note. 'Could it possibly be him?' she wondered. He wasn't at work that day and even if he was she doubted he was the sort of man to be interested in such things.
He had ignored her every attempt to stoke his fires for the past six months. She had flirted with him, tried to piss him off with her arrogance, but he had ignored all efforts to push his buttons. Through it all, he had remained very professional, and painfully polite. He often left her feeling both super turned-on and mighty pissed off all at once.
He probably didn't realize the great power potential he had about him. He was the kind of man to whom she would submit any day, no questions asked. Just as she was about to close the book on her attempts to unmask her mystery man, a thought occurred to her. 'Why did it have to be a man?'
Her mind immediately went to Candace Kennedy. Candace was a slightly older friend and colleague, a fellow VP with whom she frequently played tennis and had drinks. They had casually chatted about their mutual love of rough sex and issues of control. The pieces seemed to be falling into place. Candace knew Nimah's lust for a dominant sex partner, and being a colleague she had easy access the internal mail system.
In her mind's eye she replayed the vision of Candace sitting at their weekly management meetings. She usually sat across the table from Nimah, and she always looked stunning in her perfectly fitting skirt suits with her near provocative low-cut tops that showed off just enough of her cleavage to give anyone looking an idea that there was more where that came from.
Nimah subconsciously licked her lips and smiled as she pictured the naughty Candace flashing her seemingly innocent smile with which she always disarmed her adversaries. Satisfied that she had unravelled the identity of her mystery Dom, Nimah returned to her work and tried to busy herself, but she found her mind wandering again shortly afterwards. She wondered when Candace's next instructions would arrive. She was eager to discover what her assigned task would be. Just then the message alert on her cell phone went off. Without even sparing a thought for who might have sent it she flipped her phone open and clicked the key for the message.
"By now I'm sure you've tried to figure out who I am. Trust me, you have no idea," the note read.
