Flashers

A watery light from an early morning sun shone through the trees in the forest as damp, fresh, swirling mists rose up and surrounded Thomas. He stood; naked and confused, in a half light that picked out the dewdrops from a bed of grass that trickled down his body.

Snatches of a fight worried Thomas and he stumbled through an array of twigs and leaves, struggling to remember the previous night; his mind foggy as dawn mists. From somewhere nearby a whiff of blood reached him and brought it all back. Licking his lips, Thomas remembered his new werewolf status.

  1. Haunting! Your beautiful vivid imagery of his surroundings are perfect yet don't give away the end.

  8. Whatever Thomas did the night before, when he licked his lips at the smell of blood, it became obvious he's relishing his new werewolf life. That single line at the end made this flash for me. Excellent Naomi.
