Dan was getting tired of waiting so decided to take a walk to find Alan. The evening was beginning to draw in and clouds were gathering. Damp sand scrunched between his toes. He caught up with Alan on the jetty.
“Well, what do you think?” asked Alan.

They looked down at the bucket and Dan snorted. “For the length of time I am disappointed.”

I promise to make it up to you,” Alan replied, winking.

Dan sighed, saying, “Okay, I will do my best with the shells. But you need to make several trips to get water for the moat.”

Looking at the reflection in the mirror Morgan felt ugly. He was not expecting miracles, just an improved complexion with the disappearance of a nasty red zit.

Morgan had taken the afternoon off work to get ready and look his best. The company very rarely arranged any night out for the whole firm so he wanted to look his best. He thought maybe tonight would be the night to get lucky with Pam from accounts.

He began washing his face hoping the mudpack had worked. After all, he knew his sister used them and she was never without a boyfriend.

Matt sat in the big red leather armchair and waited. Left slightly ajar, the gap between door and wall revealed his impatience. His drumming of his fingers on the arm and the tapping of his toes together with the occasional sigh could not make her appear any quicker. He worried about losing his reservations in an exclusive restaurant.

A middle- aged woman came in and spoke to him. “I apologise for the delay, however I think you’ll be pleased.”  Indicating toward the door, a tall woman with striking features sauntered in. “May I present Chloe, your escort for this evening.”

Flash Fiction Friday - 27 July :The Gift

Well here we are again. After a short break I've rejoined the awesome flashers who write one hundred word  (no more no less) stories inspired by a given picture. This week my story is entitled The Gift. I hope you enjoy reading and leave me a comment. Then click the link to go and read the other Awesome Flashers. Enjoy.

“Hey Jen will you help me? I’m worried about Tom and me. I want to spice things up for a birthday gift. I need a hand. I’ve hidden my eyes to be mysterious and want to wrap myself up.”

Jen watched Martine writhing on the wrapping paper, struggling to wind red ribbon around her body. Jen thought back to the previous week when Tom had seduced her.

Hey Martine, does Tom know about you and me yet? I’ve got an idea.”

She giggled and rolled along the floor.“You’re very wicked Jen. Pour us some wine and we’ll discuss this further.”

The bright sun shone down and Sara blinked her eyes open. It can't be morning already.
"Shh, sweetheart." Dean kissed her. "We slept all night. We'd better get back soon."

They clung to each other, naked and in love. She looked into his eyes and shivered.
"Where are we?"
"We're in the back of Jennie's car. Lovers Lane. Do you remember how we made love here last night?"
Sara grinned and snuggled closer to Dean. "Mmmmm I remember, wonderful."
Dean looked around for his clothes. "Oh no!" He cried. "Jennie must have been here with someone. She swiped our clothes!"
