Flash Fiction Friday - 31 August: I Don't Believe It!

Its Friday again and what better way to enjoy it than with the flashers. With a given picture a group of Awesome Writers get inspired to write their version of a one hundred word (no more, no less) story. So pull up a chair, and show some love. Each deserves a read and comment. This week mine is called I Don't Believe It! Enjoy.

“They’re beauties, aren’t they?” Rhoda said as she examined the leaving present for Mr Russell. Someone said he’s a keen birdwatcher.”  Her workmate Kelly was due back any minute. Picking up the binoculars, she tested the magnification, focussing on one of the other offices.

“What the fuck? Oh Kelly you should see this!” Rhoda blinked and looked again. “Will you look at that? She stared harder. “I can see into that office. Mr Russell does not have any trousers on. There is a woman there, on her knees. She’s … I don’t believe it! Oh my God. Kelly, Kelly! KELLY!”

The car crawled to a halt at the side of a country lane and no matter how hard she tried, Ingrid could not start it up.
“I’m so sorry about this. “I can’t even give you a lift home without something going wrong.”
Ingrid looked very downhearted. “Damn car!”
Ryan looked at her and smiled. “Don’t worry; there must be a house around here, where we can shelter.”
After a short walk, they arrived at a house with a welcoming porch light on. A voluptuous woman opened the door and after Ingrid explained their predicament, she agreed to having them shelter. She showed them up to a bedroom. “This has an en suite, you can stop here.” She gave Ryan a wink and closed the door .
Ryan courteously offered Ingrid the bed. However, when he returned from the en suite he saw her sprawled in her underwear on the bed, beckoning to him. There were immediate stirrings in his groin. He desperately wanted the blonde beauty. “ I … I shouldn’t,” he stammered. “What about your partner?”
Ingrid chuckled, “Who do you think the woman downstairs is? She’ll be up soon. She loves a ménage with a frat boy.”

Monday Book Review - 27 August: Becoming The Master

                                                  Image: FreeDigitalPhotos.net

It's Monday and time for another book review. And boy, do I have a goodie for you today!

Naughty Hot Shots - Becoming The Master by Tessa Wanton - Click Image to Close

This book is something very special. It is a privilege to read Tessa’s work. From beginning to end, she never puts a foot wrong in the writing. A mistress of imagery from the first sentence to the last, you are placed in the scene actually sensing how the temptation of Charles affects him and feeling the way everything turns out when he is faced with the turmoil of torn emotions when he is faced with an opportunity he finds a struggle to pass up.
The result is one of the most exciting sexy books of its genre you could ever wish to read. I do so hope there is a follow up to this story. If so, let me at it! Tessa Wanton you’re a star!

Flash Fiction Friday - 24 August: Hands

It's Friday and time for the flashers to bring you their short stories to read. Click to read the other awesome writers' stories. A given picture, which may paint a thousand words, but on Fridays only one hundred is allowed. No more no less. This week my story is called Hands
Enjoy

“Could squeeze me in for a half hour massage?”

The receptionist looked up. “I was about to close, but …” A topless man in shorts walked through and shook her hand. “I’ll do it,” he said. “Follow me. I’m new, but don’t worry I’m qualified.”

Mandy partially stripped, then lay on the futon, waiting. With legs astride her, the masseur's hands worked their magic.  He skilfully rid her of all the inner pent up tensions.

Mandy sighed contentedly. His hands were bewitching.  Suddenly he stroked her head and she felt his breath as he whispered, “What colour is your hair?”

Guest Interview - 23 August: Sherry Tooker

Today I welcome my friend Sherry Tooker to come and talk to us. Come in honey, sit down and make yourself comfortable. We're all ears.

Sherry Tooker, Who is she...Who am I?
Well guest blog time and I’m kind of wondering what people would like to know about me. I’m a 25 year old woman who comes from a little place called Brisbane, Queensland. (Ok so maybe not so little). By day I’m a full time carer, by night I’m an Author. I also have my own business knitting toys for kids. Yes I’m a busy little bee.
From a young age, I was always creative and won my first writing competition at the tender age of 5 but my first major comp I won when I was 10. (I got my name in the paper and everything). My mother was so proud.
I like to write paranormal/ erotica/ well anything that comes to mind really. I’m not one to stick to one genre, I get bored waaay too easily and they do say a change is as good as a new pair of knickers...or something like that. I must admit though, if my writing doesn’t pass my best friend’s eyes it won’t see the light of day. She’s a literary snob, well not so much as a snob just very in tune with the good, bad and ugly of books. Only then will my story be seen, Like Mister Darcy and Cassidy Cade.
I don’t know if I’ve ever really considered myself a writer to be honest. I mean I’ve always written things, (I started with fan fiction...I know..Gasp!) However, I don’t think i’d be able to call myself a writer until I write a massive novel and sell a million books. Here’s hoping anyway *winks*. It’s kind of like how you know you are but you’re in denial because you don’t want it to fall flat and kill you inside. Anyways moving on from that...

Personally I like to read anything that isn’t reality. Harry Potter, Lord of the rings, vampires, Ware wolves (Minus twilight, I really can’t stand that story).  It’s the creativity to spin a story from things that people know aren’t real or are based on myths that capture me. I like to think outside the norm.  If you’d like to read anything i’ve written I have a few free books to download from Smashwords.

                          The Photoshoot

Not to mention my latest release Mister Darcy and Cassidy Cade.

I do have a couple of favourite characters in my writings. Some are from my Blood Lust book that is to be released January 2013 (Date pending).  Sir Caladen, Lady Emelia, Elizabeth. Oh yeah, now you’re intrigued.  I also love Cassidy Cade from my latest release. She’s just so sassy and cheeky, you can’t help but giggle when she’s around. She really likes to push the boundaries.
I have to say if I wasn’t a writer and have the opportunity to create and get to know these characters my life would be very boring. I’d probably just be looking after some old bloke making sure he has his meds and get’s into bed properly without falling out. Writing gives me an escape from reality, if I didn’t have that, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
Hmm what else would people like to know? How about ask me questions? I’ll answer if you ask me. Now onto my latest release...

Mister Darcy, a not so innocent man see’s the woman of his dreams. Cassidy a young woman with a cheeky streak see’s a man she just can’t deny. The music pumps, and so does the blood in their veins at the sight of each other, the start of a love affair that rivals most.
Mister Darcy and Cassidy Cade is a story told completely in Rhyme, over 50 pages of love, giggles and kink. 7 poems follow them through their playful boyfriend/girlfriend stage, phone sex and wilds nights including their first fight. The love they share for one another comes through in their wedding night where playing with each other in all the right ways sets the mood.

Their Kinky side comes out for Christmas as they enjoy their precious time together with toys and teasing. Then seven year itch see’s the couple stray and find prey elsewhere. The only problem they find it in the same place which reunites them and reminds them that they do love each other.
You won’t be able to put it down once you start. Great if you’re feeling down and need a good laugh or a little randy and want something to take the edge off. *winks*

Review by: Raymond Frazee
I didn't know I was getting erotic verse--but, oh, was it so good. That Cassidy is a great women, let me tell you. Buy, enjoy, see into the hidden lives of these characters. You won't be disappointed.

Review by: Kim Faulks
Wow, that was an amazing read. It was not what I expected at all, but once I started reading it, I was hooked. So captured in this story that I forgot everything else around me. Sherry, you have some amazing talent and I for one will be watching for more of your brilliant poetry.

Missing Him

The night had begun,
And Mister Darcy was away.
She could feel burning desire,
 Cassidy wanted to play.

She hated his work,
It took him for far too long.
The lonely nights got to her,
And she wasn’t that strong.

She wanted his touch,
His fingers and tongue.
To feel his manhood,
So well hung.

As the thoughts ran through her,
Her juices started to flow.
Smiling to herself,
She wanted to put on a show.

Dialling his number,
She waited for him to answer,
As she slipped her fingers in her panties,
And became a sexy dancer.

Cassidy swayed,
And danced to her own beat,
As her boyfriend picked up,
For his unexpected treat.

“Oh Mister Darcy,
I have something for you,
I was missing you terribly,
So here’s something new.”

Cassidy moaned,
As her fingers started to sin,
Explaining to him,
The things that she did.

Come on you two, make more of an effort, you’re driving me crazy.”

Lois looked up at the cameraman. “I’m sorry Pete; I’m just not comfortable with this.”

“It’s in your contract love; didn’t you read the small print?

Lois vaguely remembered receiving and looking in horror at her contract. Quickly scanning the details she’d signed the dotted line. She vowed in future to be more careful about her scenes. Six months ago, everything was different. Lois would have enjoyed being in front of a camera with this hunk of a man on top of her in a steamy love scene. Now, everything had changed.

 “Action.”

Craig swallowed hard and ran his fingers through Lois’ blonde hair.  Nibbling her ear, he whispered, “Let’s make it look good so we can finish quickly. I know you’re not happy.”
Her body shifted under him and she wrapped a leg around his. Lois turned away from the camera and concentrated attentions on Craig for the remainder of the scene.

Afterwards, Pete helped Craig up.

“Take him,” said Lois. “Just one thing Craig, I take it you signed the divorce papers.”
“Don’t worry. All signed.”

“He’ll get action with me now,” Pete chipped in.

Monday Book Review - 20 August: A Single Man's Valentine

t's Monday, and time for a review on a book I read last week. Boy, am I enjoying these stories. There are some highly talented authors out there, each with there own style and this week is no different. I had the good fortune of reading A Single Man's Valentine by P K Morris

I absolutely loved this book. From the very beginning when recently divorced Kris, wh, feeling miserable and planning on drowning his sorrows is surprised by his best friend Jake calling. Jake decides to cheer Kris up. There is instantly the promise of a very good story and we are not to be disappointed.

I was enthralled. I did not want it to end. The imagery was excellent. A sexy scene with a touch of romance running through had me hanging onto every word. Wonderful! I can’t wait to read more stories by P K Morris. Kudos.

Rob looked down at his food and tried to hide his disappointment. He knew she was mad. Suzanne dug her fingernails into and stared hard at the piece of paper.

“What in hell’s name were you thinking?” she snapped, without even looking at him. “How could you let her walk all over you like that?”

Rob reached out and took the paper from her. “I’m sorry honey. She cornered me and I couldn’t refuse. I’ll make it up to you.”

“You’d better! Well let’s do it. I’m in no mood to babysit and this cot looks a bugger to erect.”

Guest Interview - 16 August: Tessa Wanton

Come in Tessa, so good to see you. Let me take your coat and get you a drink. Please take a seat.

Hi Naomi!  Thank you for inviting me onto your new blog! I have to say I love what you have done with it, very nice indeed! So, you’d like to know a little more about me and my writing?

Yes please, fire away!

 Well, where to begin...
I started writing seriously around a year ago now, I’ve always loved reading, and anyone who knows me reasonably well would tell you I can always spin a good story at the drop of a hat. I don’t know why it never occurred to me to write the things down, but it hadn’t. Well, until I was made redundant from my last job. It was a total shock, and its times like those that you re-assess what is happening with your life. Should I continue on the same path as before or maybe chance it and take new opportunities to pursue something entirely different?

I found myself glued to the internet and, in my search for a new job, barely able to drag myself away from the screen for fear of missing any new vacancies that came up. During this time, I found I was easily getting punch drunk and needed new pursuits to distract me, so I started to research all of the things that had fascinated me over the years, and that which seemed to crop up the most, with the largest amount of online resources turned out to be BDSM. I simply devoured what was on offer, personal accounts, stories, fictional or otherwise, the countless open and honest people willing to share their thoughts and opinions with me, it was amazing. Therefore, I decided to try to put all the emotions that I had heard and explored into short passages, which expressed how these people felt in my mind. The Training of Tess was born.

The Training of Tess is an interesting piece, as unbeknownst to me; I had penned my first piece of erotica. The story itself is self-contained. There are many, many layers, which are unravelled in the second and third books. These however, can be read separately, or in conjunction with the first. There are elements of all three, which explain the motives and thoughts of my characters throughout the series, but I was careful to craft each for their own sake. What is the point of creating art that cannot stand on its’ own merit? The core of each book is the strength of trust and respect in relationships. For me, whether you write erotica, erotic romance or any other genre, the truth behind the story is the interplay between the characters. The real human emotion. Even if your story is set in another universe, it is the human emotion that draws the reader in to your world, despite the outwardly alien setting. That’s always something that teases me from time to time, will I ever write science fiction? Perhaps I shall, but for the moment, my writing is changing all  of the time, I am learning and testing myself, and I have so many stories clamouring for attention in the erotic romance genre, it would be rude not to allow them their freedom wouldn’t it?

The route I have taken is constantly evolving, for instance, with Tickled Pink, I wrote it yet again, as an exploration of an idea, something that struck a chord deeply within me. Therefore, Ellie and Mark were born to live their lives for us, to demonstrate how kink could be involved in everyday life, not your typical kink for sure, but again, something that I have discovered is very much more mainstream than it first appears. This is where I look to explore more for the future. Currently I’m challenging myself with a short story which is a complete departure from anything I have written before – I won’t say much about this for the moment, but what I will say, is that it may surprise those who’ve read my work so far. Watch this space... In addition, of course the next book I will write after that is Nylon Dreams. The second book in the ‘Tickled’ series. Such was the response to ‘Tickled Pink’, that my readers have insisted I write more! I never expected that I would have such a response to their tale, and although the stories I have in mind are a little more fantastical than the gritty realism of the Tess series, the range of emotions that I depict are just as heartfelt in the tale they have to tell. Just how do those who live the lifestyle balance a loving, family life? As much as people like to think that when children come along, anything remotely kinky disappears, I can assure you from my research, that is not the case. In the same way that it’s not just single, attractive 20-somethings that have the most explosive love lives, a married Ellie and Mark will show how love in a strong family will conquer any evil that tries to tear them apart.

Well that’s enough about my writing without giving away too much, but my future ambitions are to continue to grow my skills, and to challenge myself with new ideas, give my readers new and different challenges themselves. Variety is indeed the spice of life!

Wow! That’s a real insight to your writing thanks for that!

As just a taster of Tessa’s Dilemma, the second book in the Tess series, I hope you enjoy this little excerpt from Master Charles – He does seem to be finding a rather passionate following amongst my readers...

Standing casually with his hands in his trouser pockets, he looked reflectively out his office window. She had finally called him Master, but then they all did in the end. His mind skipped over previous submissives whom he had tested, but none intrigued him the way that she did, and by the time they had called him “Master” he had mostly lost interest. There was just something different about Tessa. They’d had a number of encounters and yet she still held such intrigue for him. How she reacted to his tests delighted his senses; her responses had been instinctively sensual, animalistic in some ways, so completely open – perhaps it was innocence? He couldn’t quite put his finger on it, weren’t all first time submissives innocent? No. Her submission was different, the inquisitive intelligence behind her eyes, her fear, her trembling body, her delicious gasps – all for him. She would definitely continue to fascinate him, and he was constantly imagining more ways in which to test her.

Distractedly watching the heavy central London traffic in the street a few stories below, images of her alabaster skin flushed with desire, memories of her cries filled his mind and a smile crept across his lips. He chuckled quietly to himself. After all he had said about Lanchester and compartmentalizing his life and her life, his mind was wandering to Tessa yet again. It was becoming all too familiar, allowing his focus to center on her more frequently than was good for him. But it was no matter. He was enjoying himself, and what harm could remembering better times do?

From his gentle testing she had decried that she hated pain, but her response to his belt, his slaps, the nipple torture, had revealed that in fact there was more depth to her arousal.

Every morning, early, while he lay in bed listening to music she would walk by. He would turn on his side propping himself awkwardly on an elbow to see her through his window. He had fallen in love with her legs because he could not see anything higher from his basement. She had to be gorgeous though as her legs were smooth as silk and perfectly formed.

Today she was late and Connor was up. He sat by the window, hoping she would still pass by. Being aware of having to get on he took one final look. His heart skipped a beat seeing her there. He reached out, imagining he could touch her leg and the hem of her red mini skirt. He cursed the glass that separated them. After a minute or two, she moved on, leaving Connor longing for the next morning.
Suddenly, she came into the room. “Sorry I’m late”

Connor propelled his chair around to her, but then suddenly felt his dream shatter. She had the same legs and shoes. He had never noticed before. Was it breaking the rules falling for your nurse? Yes, she was gorgeous. Connor reached out, ‘accidentally’ touching her legs.

Monday Book Review - 13 August: In Sophia's Eyes

Monday again and time for another review. I'm reading some really good stories. Today my review is for In Sophia's Eyes by A H Scott

I have just finished reading Sophia’s eyes. What struck me about this story was how romantic it is, with a touch of the erotic to spice it up. Right from a very different beginning to the norm, the two main characters, Sophia and Dale obviously fall very much in love and the author portrays this perfectly. Drawn into the romance I had to read on to find out what happens in the next sentence. Don’t be fooled though. A H Scott invariably leaves you thinking, ‘why didn’t I spot that? It’s the mark of a very clever writer. Well done!

Saturday Challenge - 11 August: Fifty Words

Today sees the beginning of a new feature on my blog. A Saturday Challenge. I start a story going with  fifty words only, from a picture prompt. I challenge others to keep the story going but only 50 words per person. It can be be carried through to other blogs but the attribution must be put with the picture. Lets see how long we can keep it going and how far it snowballs. Each week a new story will start with a new picture.
Here goes:

Olivia stared outside, misty eyed in the early morning light. Pearls of dew were still visible on the newly mown lawn.  Six long months had passed since Aaron had kissed her lips and placed a gardenia in her hair promising undying love. He had said goodbye but promised to return.

(Okay, that's my fifty, who's next?)

Guest Interview - 9 August: Lee Ann Sontheimer Murphy

Today I am very lucky to have the lovely Lee Ann Sontheimer Murphy drop by.  Lee Ann is very talented, and has found success in writing contemporary romance/dramas This is what she talked about.
 Inspiration and Ideas

I think the question I most often field from readers is “Where do you get your ideas? There’s no simple answer.  My ideas begin from a tiny little start or seed and grow.  I call them ‘story starts’ and I have more starts than I do time to see if they will grow into a story or a novel.

My new release, Heart of the Ozarks, has a back story, one easy to share with readers without getting them lost in my tangled family tree branches or confusing them much.

Growing up, my paternal grandparents headed off to the Ozark Mountains, to a lakeside resort on Lake Taneycomo to enjoy the slower pace and the beautiful scenery.  Sometimes their favorite grandkid (well, I like to think I was, anyway) got to tag along and skip in the quiet place, big chance from the old neighborhood.   So with those memories tucked away in the back of my mind, when I came up with a character from St. Louis who needed a place to go, to heal after a tragedy, I came up with a resort called Lake Dreams.  I put Cole – my hero – on the highway and the story began to build momentum, just the way we travel, one mile at a time.   Somewhere along the way my past merged with the storyline and a few elements from more recent stays at other resorts crept into the mix too.

Here’s the blurb and a short excerpt….along with a couple of pictures.  One is the cabin where I once stayed with my grandparents back in the day, another is taken at a resort where my family and I stayed a few years ago on Taneycomo, and the last is the amazing book cover, another triumph from cover artist extraordinaire Carl J. Franklin!

Contemporary romance/drama Ebook

Blurb:

After St. Louis TV weathercaster Cole Celinksi loses his almost estranged wife and three children in a car crash, his boss orders him to take a leave of absence.  Against his will, Cole leaves the city in late May to find the rest and relaxation everyone else thinks he needs. Without anywhere else to go, Cole heads for Lake Dreams, a resort on the quiet side of Lake Taneycomo in the Ozarks he visited each summer as a child with his grandparents.  Some of his best memories were made in the lakeside vacation haven with his summer friend, Maggie.
Upon his arrival, Cole learns Maggie now runs the place.  Twenty years have passed but from the minute he returns, they reconnect and soon their mutual attraction ignites.  He fishes in the lake, takes Maggie to visit some of the places he remembers and begins to find out who he truly is. Before he can heal, he must learn to deal with his loss and to see if he can create a new family with Maggie and her children. It’s a task he’s not sure he can handle but if he wants to be with Maggie, he must. A near tragedy brings them all together into a close knit unit and afterward, Cole may be able to make his dreams reality.

Excerpt:

“Then start with tonight,” she breathed, an invitation if he’d ever heard one.
He took three steps and enveloped her in his arms, very aware of just how little she wore.  Cole leaned down and connected his mouth to hers.  Her lips molded to his, warm and sweet and her arms wrapped about his neck to draw him even closer.  Desire, as electric as lightning, flared between them and although he ached to hurry, Cole decided to go slow and savor the experience.

So he kissed her with precision, with lingering anticipation and evoked a response he liked.  Cole craved more so he lowered his lips from her mouth to throat where he nibbled with delicate little bites.   By the way she moaned and moved, he thought she liked what he did.  Cole enjoyed it too.  Each little taste propelled shivers through him, each one like a shuddering chill but with a physical pleasure rocking him hard.   The flavor of her night sweat tasted salty against his tongue but he savored the she-woman aroma he inhaled even more.

Cole lowered the straps of her nighty so he could kiss her shoulder and brush the freckles there with his mouth.  Maggie shivered and without knowing quite how, he stripped the gown from her body.  The thin cotton fell to the kitchen floor as he cupped her full, lovely breasts in both hands.  “Beautiful,” he whispered as he put his mouth over one nipple and suckled just enough to make it bloom, hard and tight.  Maggie whimpered as he did and the sound of her pleasure intensified his.  His fingers caressed the flat smoothness of her abdomen, the slight curve of her lower belly.  Against his rough fingertips her skin’s softness seemed as fragile as cobwebs but beneath the veneer her body heat burned.   If he didn’t know better, he’d swear she had a fever but this heat wasn’t from illness.  This fire came from internal combustion.

He fingered the soft curly hair above her cunt with the same reverence he would show for something precious but it wasn’t until her fingers jerked at the zipper of his jeans Cole remembered he still wore clothing.   He wanted them off now and yearned to be skin to skin with Maggie so after she unzipped his pants he kicked them off with one swift motion.  When she hooked the edge of his briefs with one hand his heartbeat increased until the beats made a staccato rhythm in his chest.  Maggie pulled them down and he stepped out of them, sure she’d hear the wild drumming of his heart.

Cole’s already hard cock stiffened more when Maggie grasped it with one hand and squeezed with just the right amount of pressure.  At the rush of sheer physical rapture she caused he thought he’d fall down on the floor with the wave of response but instead he managed to pull off his khaki shirt, tearing away at least two of the buttons in the process.  He heard them ping against the kitchen floor but he didn’t care.  He owned other shirts and if necessary, Cole figured he might be able to sew them back on anyway.

Maggie pressed against him, hand still cupping his cock and he almost ejaculated too soon at the sensation of her skin against his, even more erotic than he’d imagined.  She raked her nails down his back at the same time and Cole groaned aloud.

“Like that?” Maggie said, a grin emerging from the look of rapture on her face.

“Love it,” he managed to spit out.  Need roared within until he decided the hell with going slow.  He’d savored all he could stand now he’d feast.  Cole backed Maggie up against the kitchen table, lifted her ass enough to make her cunt accessible and entered her with a sudden, sharp thrust.  He plunged in deep and cried aloud wordlessly as her tight box fit around him.  The first of the spirals began, circles of carnal delight radiating out from where they joined to consume him with intense pleasure.  Maggie clung to him as if he were a life preserver out on a turbulent lake and made small sounds he found gratifying.  She gasped and then shrieked like a banshee.  Her outcry brought him over the edge and into the starburst of passion, the ultimate come experience.
