Flash Fiction Friday - 17 January:The Find

It's Friday again and time for another flasher. An awesome group of writers are inspired having a given picture and one hundred words only. Please support all by reading and leaving a comment. It encourages the writers so much.

This week mine is called The Find Enjoy


Upset about earlier findings Reginald walked into the night ending up at Athanea forest. His attention was drawn to something glimmering amongst the leaves and dead twigs on the ground. At first he thought it was some kind of bauble or jewellery dropped. On closer inspection though it seemed too big.

Reginald picked the bright shining disc up, having difficulty in holding it, especially as it increased in warmth and started spinning round emitting a strange futuristic glow. He couldn’t help but look into it however, and there, within a misty spectrum Reginald realized what his future would be.

Loose gravel crunched beneath the echoing footsteps of Grace. She hurried along the narrow lane where only a few old dilapidated houses remained from a once highly sought after area. She had stayed out later than anticipated and was taking a short cut home.

Grace shivered. Night was drawing in and she wished she had a coat. An owl hooted and Grace jumped, wondering where the sound came from. Surprised to see a light shining from an upstairs window, Grace looked up. Jon looked up and slowly took in every part of the woman in black at the open window. Standing partly in shadow he wondered if she knew he was there.  His eyes drank in every curve of her visible body and followed slowly along the edge of her plunging neckline. He moaned quietly, straining forward. However, all he glimpsed was the cleavage of a promising ample bosom, teasing him, making him want much more. Jon desperately wanted to touch the smooth pale flesh.

She leaned further out of the window with the red light over. “See something you fancy honey?”
