“Hey, what’s this? Is it yours,” Lori exclaimed, opening it. Jim leaned over her and tried unsuccessfully to take the book away. “Hang on a minute, let me read. This looks like …”
“Do you like it?”
“I love it. It’s so romantic. I never realized you were into this sort of thing.” Lori flipped to the front page and stared in disbelief at the dedication.
Love poetry dedicated to my darling wife Lori. My inspiration, my everything.
He gently took the book, closed it and rolled her back toward him. “Now come on honey, inspire me a little more.”

Wonderfully written, very romantic and a delightful surprise for her :)
ReplyDeleteNicely done and very touching. That type of inspiration and support is priceless.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, she inspires her man to write poetry. I love it. You've captured the joy shining through in this photo. I want to know more about this couple and particularly her ways of inspiration ;)
ReplyDeleteAw, that's really sweet, they do look like a loving couple. Loved it!
ReplyDeleteAh, Gemma told my comment, this was a sweet flasher. A man who writes poetry, oh yeah - he's going to get lucky tonight. That dedication nailed it - "Love poetry dedicated to my darling wife Lori. My inspiration, my everything." Yep, Lucky all night long. Well done.
ReplyDeletePurrrs... oh Gemma :) I felt like I was wrapped up in those sheets with them. Your story is awesome and purrfect. :)I'm curous as to how the night will progress now. ;-)
