Christmas Blog Hop Flashers

Flames took hold and reduced the once beautifully decorated d├ęcor to a dinghy black mess. Screams sounded loud and clear with the ongoing commotion while people fought there way out of the building.
Cracking furniture with red hot sparks fell around her. Mercy coughed, but looking up a wave of relief swathed her whole body.

Covered in black sweat the burly fireman extinguished some flames and walked toward her through the smoke. He bent and hoisted her up with a strong arm into a fireman's lift.

“You're safe now,”he said. “Gotta save Mercy, with the best legs in town!”
