Flash Fiction Friday #11 - 24 February

I can't believe it's that time again. Flash Fiction Friday. When writers get together to give their version of a story in 100 words, no more no less, inspired by one given picture. Please read all the talented writers inspired stories by clicking the link provided.
Here is my version. Enjoy.

Rescued

Derek tore his clothes off and dived in as he saw Ruth struggling to keep afloat.  Managing to pull her out, she buried her head in him as he wrapped his arms around her.

“Oh Derek,” she sobbed. “I was so afraid.”

“You’re safe now honey. What happened?”

“I wanted to go skinny dipping but heard horrible howling noises nearby. Like a wild dog. And piercing screams. I was so scared I fell in, hitting my head. I thought I was going to drown. Thank goodness you found me.”

Frank crouched behind a bush watching closely. His eyes glinting amber.

The Date

Kelly picked up her fruit cocktail and took a sip. Then turning to Mark she moaned, “I can feel his eyes burning into my neck. I wish he’d go away.”

“He’s your lap dog honey.” Mark replied with a laugh. “But I must admit this is very creepy. I mean, who brings a brother along to a date these days? You never used to need a chaperone.”

“It’s because of last night. He’s very protective.”

“Oh Kelly, he’s not your Father.”

“I know, but you should have heard him. He went berserk. In the end I had to tell him.”

Flash Fiction Friday - 10 February

Hello there Flashers
It's Friday again and story time. One picture, one hundred words, no more no less. And several story variations.
Thank you for dropping by to read my take on this picture. Enjoy.
Please read and enjoy other variations

The Secret

Jenna felt a shooting pain as she fell back on the bed with a thump. Unable to move she heard Peter’s footsteps moving away. The door slammed and the key turned in the lock. She was alone. Jenna blinked, adjusting her sight to the dark room where he had left her. Barely clothed, she shivered, feeling cold and afraid.

If only she had stood up to him, trusted him and told the truth, she might not have found herself in this situation.Straining, Jenna wondered if he was still outside.

“Peter,” she called. “There’s something you need to know …”

Flash Fiction Friday #8 - 3 February 2012: The Decision

Well here we are again. I love these Flash Fiction Fridays. A chance to get inspired by a picture with 100 words exactly.

The Decision

here you are!” Deke called out to Garth, as he spotted him lying on a bank. “What’s the matter?”

Garth was lying on his back, shirt open, with his chest bare to the sun.

“Come on, tell me,” said Deke, sitting beside him. He trailed two fingers down Garth, but he turned his head away.

Finally, Garth sniffed. “I don’t feel a complete man anymore. And it’s always going to be between us. Maybe we should split.”

Deke started laughing. “Don’t talk silly!” I will always love you, scars and everything.” He kissed Garth’s stomach. “You only lost your appendix!”
